A Day of Layers…
Work day: 18/03/2025
Today was a day filled with creativity, connection, and storytelling through design. I began by revisiting my mural, adding layer by layer and embracing its gradual evolution. The process, though meticulous, was deeply rewarding—watching the blossoms unfold and seeing the piece slowly come to life was a reminder of the patience and dedication required in both art and design. It was a meditative start to the day, allowing me to immerse myself in the rhythm of creation while appreciating the beauty of progress over time.

Later in the day, I stepped into a different kind of design—one centred on people and celebration. A colleague’s birthday was an opportunity to contribute to the warmth and camaraderie of the Château. Being part of these gatherings always reminds me of design’s deeper role in shaping experiences. It’s not just about structures and aesthetics but about how we create moments that bring people together, fostering trust and a sense of belonging.

During these celebrations, I also had the chance to witness the renovations in the Spencer Gallery a space I had previously helped 3D visualize. Seeing the transformation unfold before my eyes was incredibly rewarding, reinforcing the power of turning conceptual designs into tangible realities.

The evening brought a shift back to visual communication, as I crafted more marketing material for the upcoming Open Studio. The most rewarding task, however, was painting a watercolour flow map an artistic yet structured way to illustrate my self-initiated project for my Pecha Kucha presentation. Combining fine art with design thinking allowed me to translate ideas into an intuitive, visually engaging story. Ending the day with this hands-on, artistic process reaffirmed my passion for using creativity to communicate and inspire.
