Chapter Twenty: Week 20

Gearing Up for Pecha Kucha & Open Studio

Workday: 17/03/2025

This week marks the beginning of an exciting and intense journey, with my Pecha Kucha presentation on Thursday and the highly anticipated Open Studio Night on Friday. Having navigated these events before, I understand the level of responsibility, agility, and energy required to make them successful. I eased into the week with a steady yet effective pace, allowing myself to build momentum as the days unfolded. A major milestone was the official launch of the Open Studio invitation, a key visual piece designed to generate excitement and anticipation. To complement this, I was once again entrusted with creating social media content for stories a role I was given based on the success of my previous work in engaging audiences and setting the tone for the event.

Beyond the logistical preparations, much of my time was spent fostering connections with the artists. Whether through casual conversations or capturing their work through photography, I focused on creating a comfortable and open environment. Making them feel at ease in front of the camera was just as important as ensuring they felt supported in their creative process. By listening to their experiences, concerns, and aspirations, I was able to find ways to support them, reinforcing the importance of collaboration and human connection in design. These interactions are what make this experience truly meaningful

To end the day, I took time to reset with a walk by the ocean, listening to the waves and letting nature bring me clarity. In the midst of all the excitement, it was a moment to reflect and recharge before stepping into the fast-paced days ahead. Design, much like nature, thrives on rhythm, balance, and adaptability principles I carry with me as I move forward into this exciting week.
