Chapter Twenty-three: Week 23

A Creative Escape: From Gardens to Sculptures at Château Lacoste

Workday 10/04/2025

This Thursday, I took a much-needed break from the garden, flowers, and soil, and instead, I had the chance to immerse myself in something completely different an inspiring trip with the Canadian artists to Château Lacoste. The sprawling sculpture park, surrounded by nature and vines, offered the perfect setting to recharge and find a new sense of grounding. The entire Château team, including myself, reveled in the sunshine, feeling the grass beneath our feet, and exploring the stunning space. It was a peaceful reminder of how nature can influence and inspire creativity in a different way than the tasks we’re usually consumed by.

One of the most special moments of the day was when I had the opportunity to participate in one of the outdoor installations Yoko Ono’s Wish Trees. I had seen this installation in other parts of the world, like London, but experiencing it firsthand felt personal and meaningful. Writing my wish and sending it out into the world felt truly reflective, and I couldn’t help but think about how this simple act of manifestation connects us to something larger than ourselves.

The trip wasn’t just about a break; it bridged the professional gap between us all, creating lasting bonds and transforming us into a team of friends. We ended the day by sharing a delicious meal together, soaking in the beautiful views, and leaving with smiles and renewed spirits.
