Chapter Twenty-six: Week 26

Week Twenty-Six Reflections

This week felt like a series of design threads finally being tied together. From the completion of the mulch layout in the Lover’s Garden to the long-awaited arrival of chair material samples, there was a strong sense of wrapping up open loops. Even the brief but productive meetings with the American office discussing everything from kitchen countertops to future garden projects reflected this momentum of moving ideas into action. Beyond the tasks themselves, the true rhythm of the week was defined by communication and connection. I found myself constantly storytelling, whether pitching ideas, sharing design concepts, or simply explaining my process. It was overwhelming at times, but incredibly rewarding to feel seen and heard. The cherry on top was spending my free time immersed in the creative energy of the Canneseries festival, which added a spark of cultural richness to an already vibrant week. Now, after a restorative trip to Italy with my family, I return to the Château recharged, ready to welcome the new artists and open to the wonderful and unexpected opportunities this place continues to bring.
