Chapter Twenty-seven Reflections
This week was a powerful reminder that behind every successful design moment is a long thread of preparation, patience and perseverance. It began quietly, with careful planning and logistical coordination, but by the time Natasha and the Clews family arrived, the pace intensified. Watching so many key decisions unfold on kitchen countertops, garden features and interior furnishings felt like watching the pieces of a larger vision finally fall into place. I felt proud of the time and effort I had invested early on, from sourcing samples to maintaining clear communication across teams. Those often-invisible tasks became the foundation of a smooth and productive visit. This experience reinforced how valuable preparation is in design and how rewarding it is to witness the transition from plan to action. Although the workload was intense, it felt like welcoming back a family one I’ve missed for their wit, warmth and shared laughter.
