Chapter Twenty-four: Week 24

A Wall, a Garden, and the Designer in Between

Workday 14/04/2025

This week began with a moment of reflection as I shared the transformation of the Lover’s Garden after its renovation on LinkedIn. Witnessing how the space has evolved reminded me of the storytelling power embedded in design. Sharing this update on a professional platform that has become central to my networking and learning process felt incredibly rewarding. LinkedIn continues to broaden my perspective, especially within the design and cultural scene in this region, and I’m grateful for how it has expanded both my voice and my opportunities.

After publishing the post, I shifted gears and spent the afternoon immersed in design tasks, continuing the mural I’ve been painting. Watching it gradually spread across the second half of the wall has been both motivating and grounding it’s taught me patience, stamina and the joy of seeing a vision come to life, piece by piece.

Throughout the day, I also switched between creative content creation, crafting digestible and visually engaging posts for the Château’s Instagram to keep our audience excited and connected. In parallel, I curated new content for the LNAF Private Functions Instagram, this time focusing on specific past weddings. These communication tasks have become a regular rhythm in my Mondays and while they can be demanding, I’ve come to appreciate their consistency. Each new request, whether it’s a change in a wedding theme or a fresh artist’s work in progress, adds just enough variety to keep the work dynamic. I value the challenge of balancing multiple design streams, it sharpens my adaptability and helps me stay attuned to both the creative direction and the evolving needs of our clients and visitors.

The day wrapped up with an unexpected but thrilling announcement: I’ve been invited to assist with a writer and cinema residency during the Cannes Film Festival next month, complete with an accreditation. It’s a huge honour to be involved in such a prestigious event and I feel incredibly grateful. Opportunities like this remind me how consistent effort, curiosity and care in my work have a way of leading to new doors. It’s moments like these that reinforce my belief in the domino effect of putting your heart into what you do.
