In Stillness and Sea

Like the day before, this Thursday was less about production and more about pausing a moment carved out for reflection and recharging after an intense and fulfilling week. I’ve come to realise just how much adaptability, agility and resilience have shaped my experience here, particularly over the past few days. Sitting on the terrace with a warm cup of coffee in hand, I allowed myself to simply admire the floral arrangements I had created for the board meeting still fresh, still full of colour. They felt like small living reminders of the care and detail poured into every moment of the week.
Later, I returned to something that had been quietly waiting for me, the white flower mural in the office. I hadn’t touched it in some time, but picking up the brush again felt grounding and meditative. Each stroke offered space to breathe, to reconnect with my creative rhythm, and to reflect on all the ways the Château has evolved through design, both inside and out. This act of painting became less about finishing a project and more about continuing a personal dialogue between me, the space and the stories I’ve helped shape within it.
To close the day, I took advantage of the time, the place and the early summer warmth to visit the sea. It was a quiet moment of reconnection not only with the green landscapes I work with daily but with the blue nature that surrounds this region. Standing barefoot in the sand, watching the tide move in gentle rhythms, I felt a sense of poetic stillness. It was the perfect way to reset before tomorrow’s big event the Casa Cine pitching day in Cannes, where creativity will take on a new stage, and I’ll once again support artists in expressing their visions to the world.
