Chapter Fifteen: Week 15

A Magnificent and Mysterious Valentine’s Day

Workday: 14/02/2025

Friday’s Valentine’s Day was more than just another day at work it was a celebration of art, history, and the beauty of creative expression. The Château was alive with inspiration, from the intricate details of workshops to the delicate yellow blossoms framing the chateau spaces. There is something definitely powerful about being surrounded by artists so deeply engaged in their craft. Their energy fuels my own design capabilities and pushes my limits.

The morning’s collaboration with a poet allowed me to reflect on the parallels between literature and design how both require composition, rhythm, and a clear intention.

Later in the day, my mother’s visit transformed the occasion into something even more special, reinforcing how love exists not just in relationships but in the work we pour ourselves into.

The evening transported me into a different era as I stepped into the magic of a masquerade ball celebration of theatricality, history, and self-expression. While not directly linked to my design work, events like these are vital sources of inspiration. Dressing in costume, absorbing the importance of historic architecture, and engaging with new people all feed into my artistic vision.

Reimagining history in such an immersive way is a reminder that beauty is as important as functionality. It reinforces my belief that design should not just serve a purpose but tell a story, evoke emotion, and create experiences that linger in memory.
