A Day of Recovery, Wrapped in Paint and Thought
Workday: 21/02/2025

After a week of intense work, exhaustion caught up with me, leaving me feeling physically drained. However, my day began with a deeply productive discussion with my DPS tutor about refining my essay and summarizing my progress. These meetings are invaluable they help me structure my thoughts, define clear goals, and refine my writing approach. Even when I’m not at my best, having structured guidance keeps me moving forward.
Determined to stay productive, I gathered the energy to prepare for my upcoming SIP workshops with children my first opportunity to teach topics like carbon literacy, food production, and environmental preservation. The idea of passing on knowledge to future generations fills me with excitement, as it ties directly into my passion for conscious design. Teaching these concepts isn’t just about information; it’s about inspiring a mindset that values sustainability and thoughtful creation, which aligns deeply with my approach as a designer.

The day ended with me completely immersed in painting my mural, a process that made me forget about feeling unwell. There’s something meditative about watching a composition take shape, layer by layer. Even on difficult days, creativity provides a space for renewal, reminding me why I do what I do. Design, in all its forms, continues to be a source of resilience, learning, and purpose to me.
