Chapter Six: Week 6

Goodbyes and Meeting with Natasha

Workday: 29/10/2024

having said goodbye to most of the artists yesterday and today, I started preparing for my important catch up with the president of this foundation, Natasha. It was a meeting where I had to showcase what I had done throughout the week, including the progress on the task that she had sent me, as well as my own design work and feedback on how the open studio and the Artist residency went.

This included reading garden regulations which was one of my set tasks including the history, the plant material, and the maintenance plans of Marie’s garden as well as making visual material to portray that.

My passionate portrayal of my work and progress caught Natasha’s attention, leading her to assign me an exciting new task of redesigning the office. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to work on an interior space alongside my projects for the gardens. However, it does bring added pressure, as I need to conduct thorough research on the needs and preferences of each colleague while ensuring that the design maintains the aesthetic and historic charm of the Château.

The meeting concluded successfully, and I was thrilled to also be invited to participate in the board meeting on November 21st. I’ll have the opportunity to showcase the Instagram account I developed and a montage video highlighting the open studio evening, a great responsibility I will be preparing for.
