Chapter Seventeen: Week 17

Painting Blooming Flowers, Wandering Gardens, and Reliving the Past

Workday: 28/02/2025

Friday began with a familiar yet meditative rhythm returning to the mural, layering paint onto leaves and flowers I had already visited countless times before. While the repetition might seem monotonous, I found solace in the process, embracing the tangible act of painting rather than relying on digital tools. There’s something grounding about holding a brush, feeling the texture of the wall, and letting each stroke shape the evolving design. These quiet moments of creation remind me why I fell in love with design in the first place, where patience and presence are just as valuable as the final outcome.

Later in the day, I stepped away from my work to join the new artists on their guided tour of the Château’s history. Though I’ve heard these stories many times before, I never tire of them, especially the tale of two people in love, using their artistic vision and wealth to create a space that would give back to the community for generations. Each retelling deepens my appreciation for the legacy we continue to shape. Watching the artists react, ask questions, and form their own connections with the Château reminded me that history isn’t just something we preserve, it’s something we actively contribute to through our work and creativity.
