Chapter Nineteen: Week 19

Bringing Green Visions to Life

Workday 11/03/2025

Today was a continuation of my previous work, focusing on refining the 3D visualization of the garden. This process was essential for my personal understanding of the space, helping me grasp the relationships between colors, heights, and textures of the plants. As a designer, having this visual clarity is crucial for making thoughtful and efficient design decisions. Seeing the garden take shape in a digital space allowed me to anticipate challenges and refine my creative approach before bringing it to life.

The most exciting part of the day was stepping out of the digital realm and immersing myself in the physical environment. Just like in the office, this hands-on experience was invaluable. Visiting different locations, I analyzed flowers, their textures, and colour variations, exploring how each element could contribute to the final garden composition. As a non-local, this process was also a cultural discovery I navigated markets, visited various shops, and procured, the Château received the best value.

Even after a long and demanding day, I still had the energy to contribute to a small redesign in the office. To improve comfort for my colleagues, I helped apply window foil to redirect the sun’s rays, creating a more balanced and pleasant lighting environment. This simple yet impactful change enhanced the workspace atmosphere, demonstrating how small design interventions can improve both functionality and well-being. Having the agility and stamina to support my team in different ways made the day even more fulfilling, reinforcing the power of thoughtful design in everyday spaces.
