Chapter Eleven: Week 11

Portraying and Learning History

Work Day 04/12/2024

Feeling inspired by yesterday’s detox, I decided to restart and persevere with the Château’s private functions Instagram page, which had taken a backseat during the busy artist residency. Determined to breathe new life into it, I set myself the challenge of portraying the Château’s rich history in a way that’s both engaging and visually striking. My goal is to create posts that feel like flipping through original archives, blending the unique essence of the Château with a personal design touch that invites viewers to experience its story in an authentic, immersive way.

I decided to take the afternoon off and visit the World History Museum in Cannes. While I’m constantly surrounded by the Château’s rich history, exploring the exhibits on Inuit, Roman, and Egyptian cultures offered a fresh perspective. I was particularly inspired by the spatial design of the artifacts and how seamlessly the museum created an enjoyable and immersive experience for visitors. It left me with new ideas to incorporate into my own future designs, blending history and storytelling in a way that captivates and engages.
