Week Eighteen Reflections
This week has been a journey through both the new and the familiar, each experience offering valuable insights into design, communication, and human interaction. From artist field trips to unexplored locations to revisiting familiar spaces with fresh perspectives, I have embraced each moment with curiosity and a desire to learn. My role has required me to be both present and adaptable whether engaging with artists and clients on social media or observing the director’s approach to people management behind the scenes. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the delicate balance between structure and intuition in both design and leadership. Some processes are meticulously planned, while others, like the fluidity of architectural forms or the nuances of human relationships, rely on trust, instinct, and an understanding of people. This awareness has reinforced my belief that great design is not just about aesthetics or function but also about the ability to connect, listen, and create with intention.
