Nurturing Herbs and an Artist Field Trip to a Haven of Humanity and Warmth
Work day: 03/03/2025

Today began with a gentle and anticipated start as I checked on the growth of the herbs I’ve been nurturing over the past week. Slowly, the sprouts began to appear, each herb emerging in its own time and size. Some have grown taller than others, but the joy I feel watching them thrive is the same. Caring for these plants has deepened my understanding of patience and attentiveness, as I witness the natural process unfold. Most motivating is the thought of the children who will experience the fruits of these herbs, learning about the circle of life and the sustainable power of nature in food production.

In the afternoon, our artist residency group visited Maison Bernard, a space that embodied freedom and creativity in every corner. The house was an embodiment of organic architecture, with flowing curves and soft angles that invited movement rather than confinement. The design was intuitive, tailored to the human form, and evoked a sense of fluidity and ease. This departure from conventional sharp lines into rounded, inviting spaces was a revelation, sparking a deep interest in this style of architecture and its potential to influence both interior and exterior design projects.
Walking through Maison Bernard was like stepping into a world where textures, colors, and hidden pathways intertwine. The way each room seemed to guide you through its spaces, full of warmth and tactile sensations opened up new perspectives on how architecture can enhance the human experience. The house is not just a space to live in but a reflection of life itself, fluid and dynamic. This visit has inspired me to further explore organic design principles and how bespoke interiors can create environments that nurture both the mind and the body.
