Pink Children workshops and Artist trials
Workday 12/11/2024
This week began on a joyful note as I supported children’s writing workshops at the Château. Although I initially felt unsure about communicating effectively in French, I soon realized that children have an effortless way of connecting through smiles, colours, and shared stories.
We bonded quickly, especially over wearing shades of pink and I found that my limited French didn’t hold me back. It was a refreshing and authentic experience filled with laughter and by the end, I’d even picked up a bit more of the language.

Alongside my office and garden design work, I have the opportunity to support artists with their work in progress. In the afternoon, I modelled a crocheted vest for Lucas, an experience that made me feel like a small yet meaningful part of his creative journey. Visiting artists one-on-one fosters trust and encourages them to open up, creating a comfortable environment where they can share concerns or seek help. I see myself as a bridge between the professional Château office and the artists which is a role that’s vital for nurturing a supportive relationship and one that requires time and care.
